Make Good Choices Fundraiser 2025
The Make Good Choices event was started to honor the memory of a beautiful friend, Dorothy, and to raise awareness for ovarian cancer in her name. Dorothy’s husband, Scott, wants to assist those who may follow in her courageous battle and raise awareness for ovarian cancer. Dorothy was an active volunteer with PTO during her years at Kensington.
Make Good Choices is a fundraising event that provides financial support to Teal Butterfly and Hospice of Union County. Teal Butterfly is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to raise awareness about the early signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer by educating the public through community events and social media campaigns.
Make Good Choices Annual Event provides live entertainment, a cornhole tournament, food trucks and high end raffle prizes (more details below). For the past 3 years, Kensington sold raffle tickets. Last year, Kensington raffle ticket sales raised around $10,000 for Teal Butterfly.
KES Specific Fundraising Incentives
Scott, founder of Make Good Choices, wants to give back to the community, especially Kensington. Scott wants to provide incentives for all grade levels.
Class Level Prize: The highest fundraising class in each grade will get an ice cream party from Waxhaw Creamery.
Teacher Level Prize: The teachers of the 2 highest fundraising classes will receive a $200 Amazon gift card.
Student Incentive: For every 10 raffle tickets sold by individual students, their name will be entered into a Grand Prize Raffle: A limo to and from Great Wolf Lodge for a 1 night stay AND $1,000 spending cash!
Make Good Choices Raffle Details
Raffle tickets are only available for purchase via Membership Toolkit. No cash will be collected!
Raffle ticket numbers will be emailed to the buyer after purchase!
FIRST PRIZE: One week Oak Island beach house; Sleeps 14, second row beach access, 5 br, 3 ½ bath, pool, firepit and all beach toys included.
2nd prize: $3000 American Airlines Gift Card
3rd prize: $2500
4th prize: $1,000 Gift Card Package
5th prize: $500 Gas Gift Card

Date: Saturday, June 7, 2025
Time: Draw will be after concert.
Raffle tickets holders do not need to be present to win.
